Arthroscopy & Sports Injuries

Active life means seamless movement. In today’s era of sports and fast lifestyles we want less invasive and functional solutions to our joint problems. This is what Arthroscopy or Key-hole surgery achieves. It is a treatment philosophy that believes in as little invasion as possible. It respects, nurtures and preserves the way our joint was designed by nature.
Shoulder Arthroscopy
We often get bogged down by injuries to our knees, hips, shoulders and ankles that force us to stop sporting activities. Sometimes, our daily activities begin to feel impossible and painful. Musculoskeletal Tumors

Musculoskeletal (MSK) tumors are primary growths that arise from the bone and soft tissues of the body and limbs in the body. The key is to differentiate benign from malignant MSK tumours, which requires experience and a multidisciplinary approach.
Musculoskeletal Tumors
A thorough assessment and detailed investigation (MRI, CT, Bone scan) including biopsy is a prerequisite before planning any treatment. Based on the imaging and tissue biopsy, the treatment is planned in a multidisciplinary meeting with the oncologist, radiologist which often includes a combination of surgery, chemotherapy and the radiotherapy.

Amputations were common a decade ago, but now the focus is on limb salvage. It is very rare these days for patients to undergo amputation. We have surgeons with international experience to deal with such complex surgical techniques which include mega prosthetic replacements, custom designed prosthesis and biological reconstructions.

We also offer the state-of art treatment for the ever-increasing incidence of metastatic bone disease, and we constantly liaise with the oncologists to provide the best quality of life.
